Abstract
The advent of digital technology has marked a watershed moment in the history of creative expression, shattering long-held notions about what it means to be creative and culturally distinct. the complex relationship that exists in online art groups between digital work and cultural identity. We explore the complex ways in which the production, distribution, and
reception of digital art all interact with and shape cultural identities via a number of insightful case studies. Artistic communities online have proliferated in recent years, bringing together creators, collaborators, and thinkers from all walks of life to share ideas, critique, and build upon one another's work. These groups provide a fresh perspective on how art, culture, and identity are changing in the digital era.
