Abstract
An essential part of human culture and social dynamics is the intricate relationship between language and identity. the complex interplay between language and identity, with a particular emphasis on minority language populations' distinct settings. We delve into linguistic identity
and its deep ramifications inside these disadvantaged populations using a multidisciplinary approach that draws from linguistics, sociology, and anthropology. Here at the crossroads of language shift and maintenance, where the preservation of one's native language is intrinsically linked to one's cultural heritage and sense of self, minority language communities encounter a multitude of challenges, such as linguistic assimilation, cultural erosion, and socioeconomic disparities. the manner in which these environments make use of language to express and maintain their identities.
