Postmodernism in Literature: A Comparative Study of Postmodern Authors
Main Article Content
Abstract
The late 20th and early 21st century literary scene is a testament to postmodernism's influence, a literary movement that altered our reading habits and perspectives. By comparing the works of postmodern authors, we set out on a comparative trip to uncover the many facets of postmodernism in literature. Postmodernist literature and its impact on modern literary discourse are shown via an in-depth analysis of their works, styles, and thematic concerns. As a literary and cultural phenomenon, postmodernism resists simple classification, luring researchers and readers into a realm of metafiction, deconstruction, intertextuality, and literary experimentation. Traditional ideas of representation, truth, and authorship are being challenged by this trend, which is based on a rejection of grand narratives and an acceptance of fragmentation and ambiguity.
