Abstract

As a reaction to the world's rapidly expanding population, the emergence of skyscrapers has come to symbolise contemporary urbanisation, human ingenuity, and progress. Still, clever engineering solutions are required to unravel the complex web of geotechnical issues that underpin the skyscrapers that adorn our landscapes. into the realm of geotechnical engineering,
illuminating the intricacies linked to the design of foundations for tall buildings. geotechnical engineers play a crucial role in assuring the structural integrity and safety of these landmark structures by navigating the complex terrain of soil mechanics, subsurface investigation, and foundation types. This investigation seeks to clarify the specific difficulties of high-rise building construction by delving into topics such as the complex soil-structure interaction and the dynamic behaviour of tall structures subjected to lateral stresses. We find the secrets to a future when skyscrapers may proudly stand on foundations that are a tribute to engineering
brilliance and creativity as we explore geotechnical engineering.
