Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers significant potential to address climate change by improving energy efficiency, optimizing resource management, and predicting environmental trends. This paper explores the opportunities and challenges of using AI in climate change mitigation, focusing on applications in renewable energy, climate modeling, and carbon capture technologies. Through a review of recent advancements in AI-driven climate solutions, we assess their scalability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact. Our findings reveal that AI can enhance the precision of climate models and facilitate more efficient use of renewable energy, but concerns around data privacy, algorithmic bias, and the environmental footprint of AI itself present challenges. The paper concludes with recommendations for integrating AI into global climate strategies while addressing the associated risks and ethical considerations.
