The Role of Government Initiatives in Promoting Swadeshi a Study on Policy Effectiveness

Embrace Swadeshi not merely as a choice, but as a commitment to nurture our roots and empower our communities." Swadeshi a term signifies indigenous production and Atamnirbharta. Especially in policies like socio-economic. This study examines the role of government in promoting Swadeshi in India. Swadeshi is a concept which was given by Our ancestors and we are celebrating it in our heritage. Swadeshi that is self-reliance, the name itself has a whole meaning but still different personalities having different understanding of this word. It is not just a word but an emotion, sentiments and these sentiments are link with our culture. And to protect these sentiments government makes policies. As we see governments changes there plans and policies time to time according to the needs and situation and many challenges also came in between but still, they focus on their goals.

This study finds that how government makes their policies by using swadeshi more and more. Government implanted range of policies like subsidies, tariffs and other to support and promote domestic goods and their consumptions. The study also finds some of the policies of government which supports swadeshi and effectiveness of these initiatives in achieving their objectives.

However, this study also gives the comparative analyses of swadeshi policies across different states and highlighting both the success and challenges in promoting swadeshi in contemporary context.
