Means of Promoting Environmental Security From an Islamic Perspective: an Analytical Foundational Study

Abstract
This study examines the means of promoting environmental security from an Islamic perspective through a foundational analytical approach grounded in the Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah, while highlighting their preventive role in mitigating environmental pollution. The study aims to identify the Islamic legal foundations for waste management, establish the concept of sanitary landfilling in light of the Qur'anic account of the crow, and demonstrate the role of the Prophetic guidance in promoting vegetation cover as one of the most effective means of environmental conservation and the attainment of environmental security.
The research adopts the inductive method to collect relevant Qur'anic verses, Prophetic traditions, and the opinions of Muslim jurists, and employs the analytical method to derive their environmental implications and relate them to contemporary environmental concepts. The findings reveal that Islamic legislation not only prohibits corruption and destruction on earth but also provides a comprehensive framework of preventive and remedial measures based on eliminating sources of pollution, ensuring the safe management of waste, and preserving vegetation cover, thereby maintaining ecological balance and safeguarding the well-being of both individuals and society.
The study further demonstrates that these Islamic principles are consistent with many contemporary approaches to waste management and the conservation of natural resources, highlighting the continuing relevance of Islamic law in addressing modern environmental challenges
