Abstract

The auteur remains a useful framework for analysing filmmakers' creative identities and directing philosophies in the dynamic world of modern filmmaking. an analysis of the auteur theory and how it may be used in modern cinema. the distinct approaches used by certain directors, illuminating the auteur's continued importance and development in the contemporary cinematic age. Filmmakers François Truffaut and André Bazin popularised the auteur theory in the middle of the twentieth century. According to this idea, directors have a significant impact on their films through their unique aesthetic vision and thematic interests. Despite its detractors, this idea provides a solid foundation for comprehending the cinematic legacy of groundbreaking directors.
